The referee ignored Centenario Bohemio's protests and gave Matías Molina a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Centenario Bohemio getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Matías Molina hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 20th minute. Gonzalo Berterame sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador's Felix Montes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Andres Tavio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Ecuador's Agustín Saelices in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Centenario Bohemio's goalie prevented a goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Matías Donato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Fontanini in the 56th minute of play. A well-hit corner resulted in Matías Donato heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzalo Berterame, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 66th minute of play forced Centenario Bohemio's goalkeeper Andres Tavio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 67 minutes Centenario Bohemio's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Juan Sebastián Puig was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Andres Tavio in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Daniel Zorita took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Andres Tavio to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Andres Tavio in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 77th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montes to maneuver through the defense. 78 minutes into the match, Centenario Bohemio's Matías Molina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Andres Tavio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
