Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Diego Armando Lamb started the match with the kick off. Everardo Ado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Casaus in the 3rd minute of play. Dani Alves hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the match, Algarrobo's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Everardo Ado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 19 minutes, Wilfredo Marchetti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Algarrobo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilfredo Marchetti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Mariano Lacasa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Everardo Ado was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. The supporters of Algarrobo booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Tamayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Diego Armando Lamb tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 36th minute Orlando Casaus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Everardo Ado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Armando Lamb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thiago Pliego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilfredo Marchetti in the 45th minute. Algarrobo's Wilson Custódio got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mariano Lacasa was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Diego Armando Lamb managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Algarrobo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego Armando Lamb was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 57 played minutes Algarrobo got a freekick which was hit by Niguel Pasten. Algarrobo made a substitution. Jimeno Carrera replaced Wilfredo Marchetti. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Cañas in the 61st minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Algarrobo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Juan Ignacio Vera in the 62nd minute. Thiago Pliego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafael Nadal's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Nadal in the 68th minute of play. Algarrobo's Everardo Ado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Casaus in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Nadal in the 72nd minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute, Rafael Nadal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thiago Pliego was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Everardo Ado in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thiago Pliego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Cañas's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. After some careless play in the Chile defense, Jimeno Carrera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thiago Pliego. The Chile fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thiago Pliego should have stopped the shot. Algarrobo's Everardo Ado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Algarrobo from getting a goal against them. Many of Chile's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Chile may have spent more time on the ball, but Algarrobo were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
