Leonel Velasco made in the 9th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Ege Tanyol however managed to control. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ersan Adalı in the 10th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ersan Adalı scored 1-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ersan Adalı got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the last second Jonathan Ferrant throw himself and got hold of the ball when Ersan Adalı in the 18thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Namık Hinoğlu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ersan Adalı in the 30th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ege Tanyol in the 31st minute. 34 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Mădălin Ignătescu came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The wind increased when Ersan Adalı made the kick off in the second half. Binali Akgöl recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ersan Adalı in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Leonel Velasco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ersan Adalı, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ege Tanyol in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ersan Adalı in the 65th managed to get into a good position.
