A sloppy throw-in by Emmanuel Reyes in the 64th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by CRONOPIOS Y FAMAS's Rein Keerme. Peru's Milagros Fraga got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. CRONOPIOS Y FAMAS's Ramón Furtado was substituted for Enio Coelho. After a defensive mix-up in Peru's zone, Ramón Furtado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal and Ramón Furtado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luz Tejedor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Ter Stefanek made a huge save. In the 78th minute Ramón Furtado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute, Emmanuel Reyes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru made a substitution.
