Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Zorita got the match started through his kick off. Willem-Alexander Uytebroeck's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5th minute Gallo Crisis were awarded a corner. Arnoud Koppen went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Jilian Verhaghen managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 14 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pipo Orihuela was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 21st minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pipo Orihuela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Jorge Laeremans fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gallo Crisis's protests and gave Jorge Laeremans a yellow card for diving instead. After 22 played minutes Gallo Crisis got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Laeremans. In the 24th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pipo Orihuela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pipo Orihuela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 56th minute, which Pipo Orihuela however easily saved by the left post. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Gallo Crisis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel De Roeck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willem-Alexander Uytebroeck, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Jilian Verhaghen took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Pipo Orihuela firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 84th minute, Cristian Sancho fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 86 played minutes Gallo Crisis got a freekick which was hit by Mathias Smets. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 88th minute of play forced Gallo Crisis's goalkeeper Pipo Orihuela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Primitivo Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
