Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Filip Hosu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd minute, Rigoberto Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute Dacian Jurăscu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dacian Jurăscu, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th match minute, FC Cosula-BTF- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dacian Jurăscu to maneuver through the defense. Ovidiu Marin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 25th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 35 minutes into the match, FC Cosula-BTF-'s Dacian Jurăscu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Patricio Costa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. After the first half Venezuela were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Emilian Bădila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Venezuela's Patricio Costa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ovidiu Marin. That made the score 0-2 after 52 minutes of play. The supporters of Venezuela booed when FC Cosula-BTF- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sever Mărăscu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 56 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dacian Jurăscu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 62nd minute, Aurel Lăceanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emilian Bădila hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After 66 played minutes, Venezuela's Alex Chicote shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ovidiu Marin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Venezuela reached it. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Ovidiu Marin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th match minute, FC Cosula-BTF- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciprian Gaiță to maneuver through the defense. FC Cosula-BTF-'s Olimpiu Teodorescu was substituted for Ciprian Gaiță. A collision led to FC Cosula-BTF- getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Ciprian Gaiță hit a great ball. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The throw-in from Salvador Gisbert in the 86th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FC Cosula-BTF-'s Filip Hosu. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Ovidiu Marin made a huge save. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The FC Cosula-BTF- fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Venezuela were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
