Obidimkpa Szablewski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Axel Tasis hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Efrain Moruga got a free kick in the 11th minute. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Babhruvahana Von Bischhoffshausen in the 12th minute of the match. With 20 minutes on the clock, Greger Varghede commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 20th minute, one of Mulgimaa Kosilased:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mulgimaa Kosilased. The referee gave Costa Rica a penalty, 23 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Axel Tasis, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mulgimaa Kosilased's Elari Vellemäe. 0-1. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Babhruvahana Von Bischhoffshausen in the 27th minute of the match. Mulgimaa Kosilased's Babhruvahana Von Bischhoffshausen got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Babhruvahana Von Bischhoffshausen tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 41 minutes, Axel Tasis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Tasis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Babhruvahana Von Bischhoffshausen in the 46th minute of play.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Babhruvahana Von Bischhoffshausen in the 57th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Babhruvahana Von Bischhoffshausen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Eliseo Noboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Elari Vellemäe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Babhruvahana Von Bischhoffshausen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eliseo Noboa's late challenge caught a Mulgimaa Kosilased's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliseo Noboa helped the player get up and apologised. If Axel Tasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Babhruvahana Von Bischhoffshausen in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. 80 minutes into the game, Mulgimaa Kosilased's Babhruvahana Von Bischhoffshausen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 83 minutes into the match, Kolja Sánchez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kolja Sánchez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Babhruvahana Von Bischhoffshausen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Babhruvahana Von Bischhoffshausen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kolja Sánchez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Babhruvahana Von Bischhoffshausen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the Mulgimaa Kosilased players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
