Daniel Ingelbert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 8th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Ingelbert was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. If Abel Van Den Wijngaert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Refael De Boeck went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of Ecuador booed when KV Schoonwater was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reinard Billen didn't get a good kick on the ball. KV Schoonwater's Daniel Ingelbert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 22nd minute of play. In the 27th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Ingelbert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Camilo Gisbert hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abel Van Den Wijngaert stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elias Geraerts, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Daniel Ingelbert in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 61 minutes into the game, Luis Andino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KV Schoonwater the free kick. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. In the 69th minute, Sem Roekeloos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Ingelbert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 77th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Daniel Ingelbert, 1-1. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Daniel Ingelbert when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 83rd minute of play forced KV Schoonwater's goalkeeper Daniel Ingelbert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes into the match, KV Schoonwater's goalkeeper Daniel Ingelbert had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita.
