An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 18th minute of play forced ❇ᛗᛁᛏᚱᚺ‍ᚨᚾᛞᛁᚱ❇'s goalkeeper Marjus Laçka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. USA's Cassius Byrne managed to work through ❇ᛗᛁᛏᚱᚺ‍ᚨᚾᛞᛁᚱ❇'s defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Cassius Byrne dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eugenio Cherubini in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marco Day saved USA from getting behind. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugenio Cherubini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute, Domenico Rosi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
