Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anfilogino Preda to make the kick off. Pär Are showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. The tension between the Montechiarugolo AFC and the Peru players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 90 played minutes Montechiarugolo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Fedele Marinetti. Alfredo Quattrocchi's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfredo Quattrocchi helped the player get up and apologised. Alfredo Quattrocchi kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. After 98 played minutes Montechiarugolo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Alvise Manzi. When Eliseo Mina came up free with the goalie in the 99th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Mina couldn't finish the play. The Montechiarugolo AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peru were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
