Victor Ortle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Franci Plánička made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Berki in the 17th minute of play forced Lithuanian amber's goalkeeper Damazy Mitus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damazy Mitus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodor Jokiranta, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Damazy Mitus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Berki in the 30th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Lithuanian amber's Franci Plánička threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Åke Lindström, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 36th minute Lithuanian amber were awarded a corner. Cayetano Pagomari went to the cornerflag to take it. Lithuanian amber's Victor Ortle was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Franci Plánička in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 38 minutes into the game, Åke Lindström recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Franci Plánička.
