C.A Huracan's Arnoldo Karmel was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 14th minute, Dave Basso fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jonathan Ferrant, passed just outside the right post. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Patricio Costa a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of C.A Huracan booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. C.A Huracan's Antonio Delfino was substituted for Francisco-Javier Campo. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dave Basso was the one to do the kick off. Delmiro Dominic made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Ondino, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Timoteo Machado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. C.A Huracan's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
