The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Bernardo Fanfarone despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Didi Cornut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rossanese's Bernardo Fanfarone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 20th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aybar Hasret during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Rossanese's Aybar Hasret got a free kick in the 25th minute. After having played for 28 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bernardo Fanfarone was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Didi Cornut, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Fanfarone having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Rossanese.
