Şamaxı Bankirlər's Mänsur Rzayev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mänsur Rzayev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Felix Montenegro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mänsur Rzayev. Şamaxı Bankirlər's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felix Montenegro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Rulli in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Şamaxı Bankirlər's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Mänsur Rzayev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Camilo Gisbert in the 16th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Şamaxı Bankirlər's Akhilendra Murthy. Felix Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Şamaxı Bankirlər's goalkeeper Mänsur Rzayev, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Rulli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mänsur Rzayev. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. Mänsur Rzayev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 29th minute of play. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Mänsur Rzayev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Mänsur Rzayev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfredo Rulli in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Alfredo Rulli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Şamaxı Bankirlər's Qian Chao Ting got a free kick in the 40th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Akhilendra Murthy during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Akhilendra Murthy hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Alfredo Rulli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Alfredo Rulli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfredo Rulli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mänsur Rzayev made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. With a little luck, Şamaxı Bankirlər's Mänsur Rzayev got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 63rd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Mänsur Rzayev made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. In the 72nd minute Şamaxı Bankirlər were awarded a corner. Druțu Cristian went to the cornerflag to take it. Şamaxı Bankirlər's Druțu Cristian was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 80th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mänsur Rzayev was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 82 minutes into the match, Alfredo Rulli notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Élie Gaudron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Luis Andino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mänsur Rzayev quite easily take care of the ball. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mänsur Rzayev having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Şamaxı Bankirlər.
