Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Zebastian Palmkvist started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. FC NILS's Åke Utter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 4th minute of play. In the 5th minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. Tomas Illescas made a great header on Venezuela's corner, it was just that FC NILS's Åke Utter managed to reach the ball for a save. After 7 minutes of play, FC NILS's Bill Fitzpatrick made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to FC NILS getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Stefan Edberg hit a great ball. Alex Chicote hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ferdi Kadıoğlu during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 14th minute, Ferdi Kadıoğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bill Fitzpatrick's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. The supporters of Venezuela booed when FC NILS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zebastian Palmkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Tomas Illescas sped through FC NILS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Åke Utter. 27 minutes into the game, Sigvard Blixt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC NILS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Bill Fitzpatrick stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Bill Fitzpatrick tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Åke Utter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Åke Utter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Zebastian Palmkvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Åke Utter came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Patricio Costa. But to his dismay, Patricio Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 47th minute, Bill Fitzpatrick ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zebastian Palmkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tomas Illescas came free with the goalkeeper in the 54th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Åke Utter could save by the left post. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Åke Utter having to interfere. After 66 played minutes FC NILS got a freekick which was hit by Merry Christmann. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Åke Utter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC NILS made a substitution. Pol Putov replaced Merry Christmann. FC NILS made a substitution. Florencio Gaueko replaced Ervin Gigovski. 73 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Pol Putov came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 81st minute. 82 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Filip Örtlund came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by FC NILS's Filip Örtlund. But to his dismay, Filip Örtlund quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zebastian Palmkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. FC NILS were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Venezuela for a fine match.
