Leif Ahlkvists short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some careless play in the FC NILS defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rune Vacker. The FC NILS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rune Vacker should have stopped the shot. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Rune Vacker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Cristian Sancho hit a great ball. After 27 played minutes FC NILS got a freekick which was hit by Karl Rolfsson. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cristian Sancho scored 0-3 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rune Vacker, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Agustín Saelices cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Rune Vacker was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Daniel Zorita, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 59 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Rune Vacker was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Rune Vacker made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Luis Andino sent off a good shot on target. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rune Vacker. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. Rune Vacker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rune Vacker. Rune Vacker dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. If Daniel Vesterberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rune Vacker came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Felix Montenegro. But to his dismay, Felix Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. Rune Vacker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Daniel Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, FC NILS's Nils-Eric Johansson got a free kick in the 85th minute. Rune Vacker didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as Luis Andino kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rune Vacker. That made the score 0-9 in the 92 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rune Vacker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
