The tension between the LATIUM and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Honduras booed when LATIUM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Petrini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Moises Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Sebastian Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 54thth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LATIUM's Alessandro Marchesani was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emanuel Ocampo hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmundo Espiga got free with Alessandro Marchesani in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 59 minutes LATIUM's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Edmundo Espiga who took care of the corner kick.
