When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Tahsin Atacan sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brion Murphy in the 15th minute. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Gordon Horgan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. In the 26th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gordon Horgan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Artuir Ramsey sent off a good shot on target. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Olgun Oktay showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 33 minute of play. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Tahsin Atacan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Tahsin Atacan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to COPERNICUS TORUŃ getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Shi Guo Hong hit a great ball. A collision led to COPERNICUS TORUŃ getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Brion Murphy hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tahsin Atacan made a kick off. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tahsin Atacan in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. COPERNICUS TORUŃ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Artuir Ramsey in the 59th minute. It was a well-played corner which Brion Murphy managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After 63 minutes of play, COPERNICUS TORUŃ's Tahsin Atacan made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brion Murphy in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. After 78 played minutes COPERNICUS TORUŃ got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Coates. After having played for 78 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 84th minute, Joshua Secada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gordon Horgan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 91st minute of play. In the 92nd minute Tahsin Atacan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute of the match COPERNICUS TORUŃ got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Artuir Ramsey ran over to the corner to take the kick. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. COPERNICUS TORUŃ fully deserved thier win.
