An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 3rd minute of play forced Muget's goalkeeper Sebastian Zogreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nistor Beșliu in the 6th minute of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Muget was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Irinel Oros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Muget's Sebastian Zogreanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 12th minute of play. Costică Alb's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Costică Alb helped the player get up and apologised. In the 15th match minute, Muget was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Costică Alb to maneuver through the defense. Sebastian Zogreanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 17th minute of the match. In the 17th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 20th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Zogreanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Muget's Horia Bota got a free kick in the 21st minute. 24 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Muget's Sebastian Zogreanu. Sebastian Zogreanu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sebastian Zogreanu came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Sebastian Zogreanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 46th minute of play. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nistor Beșliu made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Muget's Horia Bota got a free kick in the 50th minute. 51 minutes into the game, Liviu Carabulea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Muget's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. After 51 played minutes Muget got a freekick which was hit by Liviu Carabulea. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Sebastian Zogreanu made a huge save. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nistor Beșliu, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 63 minutes into the match, Muget's goalkeeper Sebastian Zogreanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Muget's Sebastian Zogreanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Muget from getting a goal against them. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Zogreanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastian Zogreanu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristian Sancho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 74 minute of play. With a little luck, Muget's Sebastian Zogreanu got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Muget's goalkeeper Sebastian Zogreanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cătălin Crașovan, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After 84 played minutes Muget got a freekick which was hit by Irinel Oros. 85 minutes into the game, Felix Montenegro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sebastian Zogreanu. Felix Montenegro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. After 92 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nistor Beșliu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
