The player immediately received a yellow card. 16 minutes into the match, LOI's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but George Buturugã reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute, Axel Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. George Buturugã was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. George Buturugã showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 24th minute of the match. Luis Cazalla kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Sulo Montaña came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute of the match LOI got a corner. Colombia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ahmet Hamdi Ortan ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Mehmet Akif Cerme got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pedro Manzanares quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. George Buturugã took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. George Buturugã showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abram Sarmiento to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 50 minutes play.
