Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eduardo Macías was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Azul Y Plomo's goalkeeper Rodrigo Ledrado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 40th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Eduardo Macías kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eduardo Macías went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Latif Biçim in the 60th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute, Eduardo Macías made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Leo Matute received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Venegas charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonathan Venegas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Azul Y Plomo's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
