After 4 minutes of play, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iakovos Ksiros was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Efrain Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. When Efrain Moruga fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Efrain Moruga a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Efrain Moruga got a free kick in the 12th minute. Kolopetinitsa's Vassilis Bogdanos managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Efrain Moruga in the 16 minute of the game. Güralp Uğurtan kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christodoulos Kolevas during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 23 minutes into the game, Alkis Athanasiou was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kolopetinitsa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. A collision led to Kolopetinitsa getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Axel Tasis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iakovos Ksiros having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Kolopetinitsa's Argyris Kountouriotis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Kolopetinitsa's goalkeeper Iakovos Ksiros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 35th minute of play forced Kolopetinitsa's goalkeeper Iakovos Ksiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Hugo Ferrant threw the ball into play from the sideline. Kolopetinitsa's Sotos Pagitis quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 43 minutes in the game Efrain Moruga did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Eliseo Noboa. Axel Tasis scored 0-2 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Iakovos Ksiros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 47thth minute of the game Axel Tasis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kolopetinitsa's Iakovos Ksiros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Axel Tasis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eliseo Noboa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Iakovos Ksiros came out and tried to block the shot, but Eliseo Noboa slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 52nd minute. In the 57th minute, Lautaro Puig ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iakovos Ksiros was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. 64 minutes into the game, Axel Tasis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Iakovos Ksiros. Axel Tasis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. When Güralp Uğurtan fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kolopetinitsa's protests and gave Güralp Uğurtan a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Kolopetinitsa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Güralp Uğurtan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Ferrant to maneuver through the defense. 74 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Sotos Pagitis came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hugo Ferrant made in the 82nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Alan Moruga. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Argyris Kountouriotis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Kolopetinitsa's Iakovos Ksiros got control of the ball when Lautaro Puig tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Güralp Uğurtan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
