Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the game, Zahir Betroni was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Algeria's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave YerBaTerOs the free kick. Zahir Betroni kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Farouk Benhelal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruben Iglesias in the 4th minute of the match. When Ruben Iglesias came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the YerBaTerOs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ruben Iglesias couldn't finish the play. Farouk Benhelal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Plata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute of the match YerBaTerOs got a corner. Algeria's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ascencio Puente ran over to the corner to take the kick. Villegas Villagarcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Djamil Ayad in the 14th minute of play. It was a well-played corner which Héctor Gordon managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. A throw-in in the 31st minute of the game was made by Madhil Rzighi with Fergani Mesli as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Nazir Hadjadj who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Villegas Villagarcia when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some careless play in the Algeria defense, Ruben Iglesias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Farouk Benhelal. The Algeria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Farouk Benhelal should have stopped the shot. Villegas Villagarcia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Djamil Ayad's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Villegas Villagarcia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nazir Hadjadj in the 45th minute. 46 minutes had been played when some careless play by YerBaTerOs's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Zahir Sahnouni was slow to take the kick. During this time Algeria's players had a chance to rest. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

YerBaTerOs's Lucio Bruna was substituted for Héctor Gordon. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Djamil Ayad was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute Lucio Bruna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Farouk Benhelal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andres Anguciana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Farouk Benhelal made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andres Anguciana got free with Farouk Benhelal in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Algeria's Akawel Azem got a free kick in the 64th minute. Andres Anguciana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Villegas Villagarcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Djamil Ayad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute of the match, Andres Anguciana got a very nice opportunity to score, but Farouk Benhelal was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Farouk Benhelal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loco Fondos in the 79th minute of play. Farouk Benhelal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucio Bruna, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Farouk Benhelal made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Andres Anguciana sent off a good shot on target. After 89 played minutes Algeria got a freekick which was hit by Nazir Hadjadj. Algeria's Farouk Benhelal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Algeria from getting a goal against them. Loco Fondos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
