Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. Dobri Pipkov kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 11thth minute of the game Dobri Pipkov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Цървена звезда's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Zapryan Sachanski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was a well-played corner which Daniel Zorita managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Цървена звезда's Zapryan Sachanski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zapryan Sachanski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 19 minutes of play, Цървена звезда's Dobri Pipkov made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 21st minute, Avgust Kyurkchiev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diyan Svilarov in the 28th minute of the match. After 34 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. In the 35th minute of the match Neno Partalin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Diyan Svilarov came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Цървена звезда fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diyan Svilarov couldn't finish the play. Dobri Pipkov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Lilko Shentov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lilko Shentov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. When Dobri Pipkov came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Цървена звезда fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dobri Pipkov couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dobri Pipkov to make the kick off. When Цървена звезда's Diyan Svilarov in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Zapryan Sachanski in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 58th minute, which Zapryan Sachanski however easily saved by the left post. 62 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Lilko Shentov came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Цървена звезда's Dobri Pipkov in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Diyan Svilarov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the game, Dobri Pipkov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lilko Shentov in the 87th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute Diyan Svilarov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Antonio Arias got a free kick in the 95th minute. If Neno Partalin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Цървена звезда players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
