Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's Mihnea Plăcintă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassius Byrne in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cassius Byrne was slow to take the kick. During this time USA's players had a chance to rest. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisinho Uribe in the 20th minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Mihnea Plăcintă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Quintin Gomar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Day having to interfere. Aquilino Cuevas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisinho Uribe in the 31st minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luisinho Uribe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Marco Day tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisinho Uribe in the 35th minute of play. Mihnea Plăcintă came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by USA's Monty Rogers. But to his dismay, Monty Rogers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisinho Uribe in the 39th minute of play. After 40 minutes USA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aquilino Cuevas who took care of the corner kick. Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's Michael-Peter Villa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marco Day in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luisinho Uribe made a kick off. Mihnea Plăcintă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cassius Byrne, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute, Luisinho Uribe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mihnea Plăcintă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 56th minute of play. Aquilino Cuevas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Marco Day tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Monty Rogers sped through Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mihnea Plăcintă. Los Ángeles de Charlie 2 made a substitution. Truylos Gonzalez replaced Luisinho Uribe. Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's Damian Budianu was substituted for Quintin Gomar. 79 minutes into the match, Truylos Gonzalez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marco Day. USA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Truylos Gonzalez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Truylos Gonzalez, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's Mihnea Plăcintă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Khalid Parry in the 83rd minute of play. In the 85th minute Aquilino Cuevas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's goalkeeper Mihnea Plăcintă had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sam Campbell. If Damian Budianu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. USA's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
