When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Onagoity AFC's goalie prevented a goal. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Daniel Zorita put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Gaudencio Gervaso. 11 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gaudencio Gervaso. Onagoity AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Onagoity AFC's Rolando Sidro got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arnoldo Columbo kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Sidro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 25 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Luis Andino charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luis Andino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 31st minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Onagoity AFC's Gaudencio Gervaso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gaudencio Gervaso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julio Vera didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 35th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. In the 38th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gaudencio Gervaso was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 41st minute, Rolando Sidro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gaudencio Gervaso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaudencio Gervaso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rolando Sidro to strike the kick off in the second half. Rolando Sidro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Nestor Hug's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Rolando Sidro did an outstanding performance 58 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 3-3 to the right of an irritated Julio Vera in the goal. Onagoity AFC's Amancio Artizar was substituted for Arnoldo Columbo. 66 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rolando Sidro was slow to take the kick. During this time Onagoity AFC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Rolando Sidro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. In the 69th minute of the match Cristian Sancho sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gaudencio Gervaso skillfully saved the ball. Gaudencio Gervaso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 74th minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Sidro in the 75th minute of the match. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Onagoity AFC's Rolando Sidro. But to his dismay, Rolando Sidro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. 89 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Nestor Hug came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Onagoity AFC made a substitution. Justo Cayo replaced Nestor Hug. Felix Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Gaudencio Gervaso made a huge save. Gaudencio Gervaso didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 94th minute, which inside left pole to 4-4. Cristian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
