Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hugo Orlando Gatti quite easily take care of the ball. In the 4th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Sebastián Puig to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Orlando Gatti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8thth minute of the game Genaro Elivareo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Orlando Gatti having to interfere. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Genaro Elivareo sent off a good shot on target. Ramiro Rey kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Abuba Akotonon FC's Hugo Orlando Gatti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of play. Vânderson Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. If Cecilio Tristan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Orlando Gatti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hugo Orlando Gatti didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cecilio Tristan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. A collision led to Abuba Akotonon FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Lance Veloz hit a great ball. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hugo Orlando Gatti saved Abuba Akotonon FC from getting behind. In the 40th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Luis Andino was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cecilio Tristan to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Felix Montenegro could shoot a difficult shot in the 55th minute, which Hugo Orlando Gatti however easily saved by the left post. 56 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Cecilio Tristan came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Genaro Elivareo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cecilio Tristan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute Abuba Akotonon FC were awarded a corner. Genaro Elivareo went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Genaro Elivareo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. In the 64th minute, Lance Veloz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita tried to score from far away in the 65th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 70th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Orlando Gatti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rene Sanson hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. A hard shot 77 in the game by Felix Montenegro from a close distance when the talented Hugo Orlando Gatti managed to make a qualified save. Abuba Akotonon FC's players were relieved. After 78 minutes Abuba Akotonon FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hugo Orlando Gatti in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 86th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Orlando Gatti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 91th minute after Abuba Akotonon FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Cristian Sancho took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Hugo Orlando Gatti to make any attempt to save it. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Abuba Akotonon FC throughout the match.
