In the 8th minute, meteora 1929's Chatziantoniou Xanthos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Chatziantoniou Xanthos put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Chatziantoniou Xanthos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Nikos Sarkanis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dimitris Fragou in the 19th minute of play. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute of the match, Dimitris Fragou tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jonathan Ferrant saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 42nd minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Tomas Illescas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nikos Sarkanis quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dimitris Fragou stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chatziantoniou Xanthos in the 52nd minute of play. Chatziantoniou Xanthos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. When meteora 1929's Chatziantoniou Xanthos in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Dimitris Fragou put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the meteora 1929 players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
