In the 26th minute Milagros Fraga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dino Foni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 28 minutes of play, Peru's Eliseo Mina made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dino Foni was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eliseo Mina might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dino Foni. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eliseo Mina ran back to his position shaking his head. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Graziano in the 35th minute of the match. Julian Murillo took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dino Foni. Dino Foni dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ndoc Amokachi in the 40th minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Anthony Alvarado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
