The Los Liquisue FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. When Flemming Derigs came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Los Liquisue FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flemming Derigs couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Hermengildo Itzaina managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Liquisue FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hermengildo Itzaina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The supporters of Los Liquisue FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uwe Septinius came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Uwe Septinius in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Uwe Septinius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 83rd minute of play. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Uwe Septinius. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Teobaldo Xabel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Los Liquisue FC had played much better football throughout.
