Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tomas Illescas kicked off to start the match. 7 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mario Isusko. The referee ignored Argentino de Buenos Aires's protests and gave Claudio Bartuelo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th match minute, Argentino de Buenos Aires was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Bartuelo to maneuver through the defense. Ulryk Bugajski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 11th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Argentino de Buenos Aires's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulryk Bugajski came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Patricio Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ulryk Bugajski having to make a save. When Mario Isusko came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Argentino de Buenos Aires fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mario Isusko couldn't finish the play. Ulryk Bugajski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Venezuela made a substitution. Roberto Ocampo replaced Patricio Costa. Anacleto Gasteiz hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute Roberto Ocampo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulryk Bugajski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomás Cordara kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 32nd minute Roberto Ocampo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulryk Bugajski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37thth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Argentino de Buenos Aires's Ulryk Bugajski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ulryk Bugajski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Mario Isusko made the kick off in the second half. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulryk Bugajski having to interfere. When Samuel Hitz fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. When Anacleto Gasteiz was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 60 minutes had been played. Anacleto Gasteiz hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. 62 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute Mario Isusko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romulo Fonso made in the 75th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Gonzalo Marcones. Salvador Gisbert charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Salvador Gisbert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 78th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. Argentino de Buenos Aires made a substitution. Jose Gamus replaced Leonides Ixona. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert got a free kick in the 80th minute. If Roberto Ocampo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the game, Jonathan Venegas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rigoberto Mina during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Venezuela eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
