Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Kyle Thake took the kick off in the first half of the match. Joel Gaona hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. 8 minutes into the match, Floriana Celtics's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Mats Sangolt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Giorgio Caruana. In the 11th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mats Sangolt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Giorgio Caruana in the 14th minute. Mats Sangolt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. It was a well-played corner which Luca Zorita managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Ellis in the 80th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mats Sangolt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute.
