With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abram Sarmiento in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luis Nardo saved Florida Gulf Coast from getting behind. 44 minutes into the match, Florida Gulf Coast's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Luis Nardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The wind increased when Lukáš Katačić made the kick off in the second half. Eleuterio Fiz charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Florida Gulf Coast's John James managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Joshua Garrido in the 68 minute of the game. Pedro Manzanares was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Nestor Inko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. In the 93rd minute, Nestor Inko made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2.
