With his leg Eric Gary managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when Cambotinha EC's Léo Souto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Eric Gary made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Léo Souto in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute of the match Cambotinha EC got a corner. Jagiellonia Denver's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Falcão Novaes ran over to the corner to take the kick. Yan Santana made a great header on Cambotinha EC's corner, it was just that Jagiellonia Denver's Eric Gary managed to reach the ball for a save. 28 minutes into the match, Jagiellonia Denver's goal looked a bit too open when Léo Souto came free, but Eric Gary reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eric Gary made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Falcão Novaes in the 30th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Falcão Novaes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cambotinha EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michal Majdoch in the 33rd minute of play forced Cambotinha EC's goalkeeper Claudinho Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eric Gary made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Falcão Novaes in the 35th minute of play. Cambotinha EC's Léo Souto was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 43rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. A hard shot 48 in the game by Léo Souto from a close distance when the talented Eric Gary managed to make a qualified save. Jagiellonia Denver's players were relieved. A nice corner shot did that Falcão Novaes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Eric Gary quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Léo Souto was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Cambotinha EC's zone, Hélio Donatello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinho Azevedo came out of the goal and Hélio Donatello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Cambotinha EC's Léo Souto in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jagiellonia Denver's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Cambotinha EC's Claudinho Azevedo got control of the ball when Hélio Donatello tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Per-Olof Åkesson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Michal Majdoch could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Claudinho Azevedo made a huge save. 74 minutes into the match, Jagiellonia Denver's goal looked a bit too open when Léo Souto came free, but Eric Gary reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claudinho Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hélio Donatello in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Falcão Novaes in the 77th minute of play forced Jagiellonia Denver's goalkeeper Eric Gary to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jagiellonia Denver's Rudolf Garreau was substituted for Michal Majdoch.
