Cacá Čačak started the match with the kick off. Eric Gary came out of the goal in the 2nd minute to try and stop a shot by LIVERPOOL FC's Kang Guang Chao. But to his dismay, Kang Guang Chao quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liviu Rada in the 7th minute of play forced Jagiellonia Denver's goalkeeper Eric Gary to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute Jurand Wielopolski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Gary saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13thth minute of the game Liviu Rada who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jagiellonia Denver's Eric Gary was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 14th minute, Aurel Corlățean made a precise shot to the right of Eric Gary. Jagiellonia Denver's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Liviu Rada in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eric Gary prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jagiellonia Denver's Eric Gary played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurel Corlățean in the 20th minute of play. Eric Gary showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liviu Rada in the 23rd minute of the match. 27 minutes into the game, LIVERPOOL FC's Aurel Corlățean nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eric Gary made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Liviu Rada put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Eric Gary. Jagiellonia Denver's Eric Gary played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurel Corlățean in the 32nd minute of play. Hélio Donatello's late challenge caught a LIVERPOOL FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hélio Donatello helped the player get up and apologised. Eric Gary took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liviu Rada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half LIVERPOOL FC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

LIVERPOOL FC's Marius Slătineanu was substituted for Jim Björkkvist. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Liviu Rada made a kick off. A hard shot 51 in the game by Liviu Rada from a close distance when the talented Eric Gary managed to make a qualified save. Jagiellonia Denver's players were relieved. 52 minutes into the match, Jagiellonia Denver's goalkeeper Eric Gary had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kang Guang Chao. Eric Gary made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Aurel Corlățean sent off a good shot on target. In the 56th minute of the match LIVERPOOL FC got a corner. Jagiellonia Denver's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kang Guang Chao ran over to the corner to take the kick. Qian Ying Lang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hélio Donatello in the 57th minute of the match. With his leg Eric Gary managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when LIVERPOOL FC's Aurel Corlățean fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aurel Corlățean got free with Eric Gary in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Qian Ying Lang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cacá Čačak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. LIVERPOOL FC were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after Jagiellonia Denver's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kang Guang Chao took the corner. After taking down the ball on LIVERPOOL FC's corner Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Eric Gary quite easily take care of the ball. Eric Gary showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin in the 68th minute of the match. In the last second Eric Gary throw himself and got hold of the ball when Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin in the 69thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. If Hélio Donatello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the match, Jagiellonia Denver's goal looked a bit too open when Kang Guang Chao came free, but Eric Gary reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Kang Guang Chao managed to get in a good position for a shot. LIVERPOOL FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kang Guang Chao was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eric Gary breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jagiellonia Denver's Venceslas Borizar was substituted for Viorel Olaru. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kang Guang Chao in the 82nd minute of play forced Jagiellonia Denver's goalkeeper Eric Gary to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute Kang Guang Chao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Gary saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Jagiellonia Denver made a substitution. 林邦瑜 replaced Ricardo Gareca. Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. A collision led to Jagiellonia Denver getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Per-Olof Åkesson hit a great ball. The LIVERPOOL FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing LIVERPOOL FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
