The audience was convinced that Ilie Armeanca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Clive Blake was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ilie Armeanca in the 9th minute of play forced Dorking United FC's goalkeeper Clive Blake to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ilie Armeanca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clive Blake having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ilie Armeanca got free with Clive Blake in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 23 minutes into the game, Dorking United FC's John Paul Edworthy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marius Bălașa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Doug Lovell's late challenge caught a Juventus Țiu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Doug Lovell helped the player get up and apologised. After 27 played minutes Dorking United FC got a freekick which was hit by Doug Lovell. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Clive Blake successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 33rd play minute Ilie Armeanca came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Clive Blake. 1-1. Gică Comarnescu succeeded in the game's 40th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. In the 45th match minute, Juventus Țiu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Avram Ortacu to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ilie Armeanca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Clive Blake didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ilie Armeanca went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 77th match minute, Juventus Țiu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurențiu Târban to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, Avram Ortacu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Lowndes came free with the goalkeeper in the 82nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Marius Bălașa could save by the left post. After 85 minutes, Avram Ortacu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Juventus Țiu and the Dorking United FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dorking United FC made a substitution. Frank Rider replaced Roger Faulkner. After 86 played minutes Juventus Țiu got a freekick which was hit by Avram Ortacu. In the 87th match minute, Dorking United FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sammy Curtis to maneuver through the defense.
