The supporters of BICHO neuquino booed when CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 64th minute of the match, Jorge Lidon tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hector Jakes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Elpidio Cutberto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's Hector Jakes got control of the ball when Luciano Abel tried to sneak it across the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Danilo Policarpio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Hector Jakes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luciano Abel got free with Hector Jakes in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aldo Etxatxu kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 93rd minute by Danilo Policarpio got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The BICHO neuquino supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing BICHO neuquino would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
