A collision led to Jacuitiba - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Paulinho Pinho hit a great ball. Corder Clubley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toninho do Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toninho do Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Corder Clubley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudinho Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ed Howard in the 15th minute of the match. With 18 minutes on the clock, Vágner Faria commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. When the match had been going on for 19 minutes, Elderslie Magpies's Brad Missen got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Claudinho Medeiros. Corder Clubley didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Toninho do Vale went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 32nd minute Brad Missen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinho Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's Paulinho Pinho got a free kick in the 33rd minute. If Toninho do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 39 played minutes Jacuitiba - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by José Carlos Velloso. Corder Clubley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Seco in the 42nd minute of the match. After 45 played minutes Jacuitiba - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Paulinho Pinho. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

50 minutes into the game, Dieguinho Magalhães was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Elderslie Magpies the free kick. Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's Claudinho Medeiros hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 2-1! In the 68th minute, Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's Bernardo Seco ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Corder Clubley. Corder Clubley yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. Claudinho Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brock Devine, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Toninho do Vale hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's Claudinho Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ed Howard in the 82nd minute of play. 83 minutes into the game, Nico Madureira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
