Hector Gizon started the match with the kick off. A collision led to STAL ST WOLA getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Fryderyk Knopek hit a great ball. In the 10th minute, Hector Gizon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roland Burdzel was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After 13 played minutes STAL ST WOLA got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Spychalski. Maciej Kaczanek was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 16 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the game, one of STAL ST WOLA:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE a penalty, 17 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Reynaldo Elodio, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of STAL ST WOLA's Roland Burdzel. 1-2. STAL ST WOLA's Wladyslaw Motowski got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 27th minute, Wladyslaw Motowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ismael Laurentzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Roland Burdzel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's Hector Jakes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wladyslaw Motowski in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wladyslaw Motowski in the 38th minute of play forced CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's goalkeeper Hector Jakes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kylian Lewandowski's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Hector Jakes firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 44th minute Ismael Laurentzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roland Burdzel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When STAL ST WOLA's Wladyslaw Motowski in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's goalie prevented a goal. After the first half CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wladyslaw Motowski made a kick off. Wladyslaw Motowski took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hector Jakes. Hector Jakes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. Roland Burdzel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael Laurentzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ismael Laurentzi in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roland Burdzel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. STAL ST WOLA's Wladyslaw Motowski got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE defense, Wladyslaw Motowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hector Jakes. The CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hector Jakes should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's Constantino Bertol got a free kick in the 65th minute. Hector Jakes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wladyslaw Motowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. A collision led to CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Diego Menendo hit a great ball. Hector Jakes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wladyslaw Motowski in the 74th minute of play. Wladyslaw Motowski hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. 79 minutes into the game, STAL ST WOLA's Kylian Lewandowski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hector Jakes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Spychalski in the 83rd minute of play forced CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's goalkeeper Hector Jakes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 85 played minutes CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE got a freekick which was hit by Diego Menendo. Hector Jakes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kylian Lewandowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the game, Kylian Lewandowski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-3. Hector Jakes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 96th match minute, CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Elodio to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The STAL ST WOLA fans cheered their team off the field, for while CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
