Peru were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Tello AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Luz Tejedor fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dalmacio Pello quite easily take care of the ball. After 20 played minutes Tello AFC got a freekick which was hit by Faouzi Ghoulam. In the 26th minute, Luz Tejedor made a precise shot to the right of Dalmacio Pello. Tello AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 柳平鹏, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Anthony Alvarado lost his temper 32 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 31 minutes into the game, one of Peru:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Rolando Noboa had in the 34thth minute some difficulties stopping Lázaro Garcia's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 36 minutes into the game, Emmanuel Reyes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Peru's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tello AFC the free kick. After 36 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Emmanuel Reyes. Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Rolando Noboa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 46 minutes in the game Faouzi Ghoulam did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to 柳平鹏. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luz Tejedor made a kick off. In the 56th minute, Luz Tejedor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Milagros Fraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Tello AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Peru's Milagros Fraga to fire away a dangerous shot which Dalmacio Pello despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a little luck, Tello AFC's Dalmacio Pello got control of the ball when Milagros Fraga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 柳平鹏, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 柳平鹏 in the 79th minute of play. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Faouzi Ghoulam made in the 81st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Virgilio Van Dijck. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Lain in the 92nd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustino Unax in the 93rd minute of play. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgilio Van Dijck in the 95th minute of play.
