Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the match, Cornelio Guerrero notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 7 minutes into the match, Newpi Academy's Alberto Tonete sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Richard Textex tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Antonio Perrando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 25th minute Antonio Perrando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tonete, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 32 minutes, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Andino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Richard Textex tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40thth minute of the game Alberto Tonete who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cristian Sancho's late challenge caught a Newpi Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristian Sancho helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Newpi Academy getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Cornelio Guerrero hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alberto Tonete stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Antonio Perrando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute, Salvador Ermengol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Newpi Academy's Richard Textex played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 78th minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guaberto Efren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute, Camilo Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Richard Textex in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Camilo Gisbert made in the 95th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Cristian Sancho. The Newpi Academy support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
