Hamza Yavaş showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 8th minute William Westelinx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Peru's zone, Karim Sia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal and Karim Sia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from William Westelinx in the 13th minute of the match. Julian Murillo struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Rene Vereijt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hamza Yavaş, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Westelinx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Moises Gayoso made in the 24th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Luz Tejedor however managed to control. Rene Vereijt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 37th minute Eliseo Mina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Vereijt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. William Westelinx recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to FC Ouagadougou National getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Sean Westelinx hit a great ball.

Rolando Noboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alonso Berganza got a throw-in 65 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Moises Gayoso. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 71st minute of play forced FC Ouagadougou National's goalkeeper Rene Vereijt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Westelinx in the 75th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 80th minute of play forced FC Ouagadougou National's goalkeeper Rene Vereijt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. 88 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Abdulla Baia came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alonso Berganza made in the 94th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Eliseo Alcocer immediately put the ball in play. The FC Ouagadougou National fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peru were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
