Edwin van der Sar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A collision led to ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Iliana Seseña hit a great ball. Pacorro Aguilar came free with the goalkeeper in the 24th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rolando Noboa could save by the left post. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Edwin van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milagros Fraga in the 26th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edwin van der Sar saved ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ from getting behind. Edwin van der Sar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Anthony Alvarado made in the 39th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Moises Gayoso. Julian Murillo scored 0-2 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edwin van der Sar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 44th minute, Julian Murillo made a precise shot to the right of Edwin van der Sar. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 49th minute. At last the ball reached Moises Gayoso at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦. 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. In the 54th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edwin van der Sar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alonso Berganza hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ made a substitution. Pero Falla replaced Pacorro Aguilar. 68 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Pero Falla came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edwin van der Sar was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Julian Murillo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 71 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pero Falla in the 78th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
