The audience thought a goal was coming when Adriano Rodrigues got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 11 minutes into the game, Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Jacinto Paraíba nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After 14 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Adriano Rodrigues sent off a good shot on target. Joshua Secada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Adriano Rodrigues tried to sneak it across the goal line. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Adriano Rodrigues was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 25th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiaguinho da Cunha having to interfere. The Xapetuba Futebol Clube fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Adriano Rodrigues looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adriano Rodrigues was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 60th minute, Adriano Rodrigues made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 10-0 when Adriano Rodrigues sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. In the 73rd minute, Bernardo Soares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 11-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adriano Rodrigues in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. After 78 minutes, Adriano Rodrigues made it 12-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Xapetuba Futebol Clube made a substitution. Patrick Neiva replaced Jacinto Paraíba. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flávio Matos in the 83rd minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adriano Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 87th minute Adriano Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Tiaguinho da Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tiaguinho da Cunha having to make a save. There was no doubt that Xapetuba Futebol Clube were the better team. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
