Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. Capdevilla's Pastor Valery played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 20th minute of play forced Capdevilla's goalkeeper Pastor Valery to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 23 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adolfo Dolfo who took care of the corner kick. At last the ball reached Hector Berdoi at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Ecuador. 2-0. 29 minutes into the match, Capdevilla's Miguel Diagur sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Miguel Diagur blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. 34 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Miguel Diagur. A collision led to Capdevilla getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Rodrigo Evis hit a great ball. The audience held their breath when Daniel Zorita in the 44th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Pastor Valery's left hand side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Capdevilla's Carolo Christobal was substituted for Filomeno Hitz. Miguel Diagur's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Diagur in the 57th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 57 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis Andino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pastor Valery breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute Miguel Diagur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute of the match Capdevilla got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Adolfo Dolfo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Miguel Diagur made a great header on Capdevilla's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Miguel Diagur sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Felix Montes was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Pastor Valery took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pastor Valery breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Zorita got in the 87th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Pastor Valery handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 93rd minute, which Pastor Valery however easily saved by the left post. 94 minutes into the game, Capdevilla's Hector Berdoi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0.
