Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Ivo de Sousa sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 18th minute Leon Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Felix Montenegro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Ernesto Padro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 26th minute of the match. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bacho Team's goalkeeper Ernesto Padro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emanuele Marrone could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Luis Andino scored 0-2 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ernesto Padro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ivo de Sousa came free with the goalkeeper in the 39th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Julio Vera could save by the left post. When Luis Andino came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Andino couldn't finish the play. 42 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Garcia came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute, Felix Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ernesto Padro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Bacho Team's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Ernesto Padro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anibal Galeno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Ernesto Padro in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hernan Ferrando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ivo de Sousa in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ernesto Padro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 71st minute. Ernesto Padro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 77th minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivo de Sousa in the 86th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidro Montrel in the 91st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bacho Team throughout the match.
