When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Christian Bergqvist took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Pedro Manzanares to make any attempt to save it. Eloy Mazuste showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Joshua Garrido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Mazuste having to interfere. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eloy Mazuste. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 15th minute of play forced Tigres Ñacuñán FC's goalkeeper Eloy Mazuste to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eloy Mazuste made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute Sinan Okergun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19thth minute of the game Abram Sarmiento who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tigres Ñacuñán FC's Eloy Mazuste was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Bergqvist in the 21st minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Colombia's Axel Montenegro in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tigres Ñacuñán FC's goalie prevented a goal. Christian Bergqvist succeeded in the game's 35th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Axel Montenegro in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eloy Mazuste prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 45th minute, Abram Sarmiento ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eloy Mazuste was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Christian Bergqvist was the one to do the kick off. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eloy Mazuste stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. 55 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Bergqvist came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eloy Mazuste. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Tigres Ñacuñán FC's Eloy Mazuste got control of the ball when Axel Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Pascual Carballar got a free kick in the 64th minute. When Axel Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Colombia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Axel Montenegro couldn't finish the play. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. Tigres Ñacuñán FC's Eloy Mazuste proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Tigres Ñacuñán FC from getting a goal against them. In the 78th minute Joshua Garrido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eloy Mazuste saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Tigres Ñacuñán FC defense, Abram Secada kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eloy Mazuste. The Tigres Ñacuñán FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eloy Mazuste should have stopped the shot. 85 minutes into the game, Tigres Ñacuñán FC's Andres Pitin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. In the 91st minute, Andres Pitin made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-3. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andres Pitin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tigres Ñacuñán FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Colombia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
