The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Didin Bajuri was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to GOLATH getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Misbach Idris hit a great ball. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. In the 52nd minute of the match GOLATH got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luhut Mangindaan ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led GOLATH's Luhut Mangindaan to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a rather tough play, GOLATH's Luhut Mangindaan got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 56th minute Awaludin Nahumarury shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Awaludin Nahumarury in the 59th minute of play. GOLATH made a substitution. Ilyas Feryanto replaced Porman Harmoko. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Didin Bajuri made a huge save. After having played for 76 minutes, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GOLATH made a substitution. Adjat Inzaghi replaced Awaludin Nahumarury. Didin Bajuri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 78th minute. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Didin Bajuri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute Adjat Inzaghi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andik Tirtana in the 88th minute of the match. After 89 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adjat Inzaghi who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Adjat Inzaghi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Adjat Inzaghi came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the GOLATH fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adjat Inzaghi couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute, Daniel Zorita fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Didin Bajuri, passed just outside the right post. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
