Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cristian Naike kicked off to start the match. Benigno Gurutz charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benigno Gurutz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Vélez Juniors's Benigno Gurutz got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Nicolas Roland succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 5th playminute. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Naike in the 8th minute of play. Elpidio Vitin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Axel Montenegro went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Axel Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elpidio Vitin having to make a save. Alberto Joey made in the 14th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Colombia's Kevin Mastache. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 15th minute of play forced Vélez Juniors's goalkeeper Elpidio Vitin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elpidio Vitin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After 19 minutes of play, Colombia's Axel Montenegro made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elpidio Vitin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Naike, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Vélez Juniors's Guido Luzaide got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 25 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Axel Montenegro. 28 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicolas Roland. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severo Maule, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Cristian Naike took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benicio Rivas in the 36th minute of the match. Nicolas Roland could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abram Sarmiento during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Abram Sarmiento hit a great ball. After 47 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Abram Sarmiento. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abram Sarmiento to make the kick off. When Vélez Juniors's Nicolas Roland in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Colombia's goalie prevented a goal. Elpidio Vitin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Colombia were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Vélez Juniors's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Axel Montenegro took the corner. Orlando Tafalla kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After having played for 60 minutes, Nicolas Roland managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vélez Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolas Roland was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Cristian Naike managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vélez Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Naike was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vélez Juniors made a substitution. Godofredo Ado replaced Alberto Joey. Colombia's attentive Santino Seco managed to snatch the ball when Melchor Napier made a throw-in in the 64th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Nicolas Roland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Nicolas Roland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Vélez Juniors's Cristian Naike. But to his dismay, Cristian Naike quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Colombia's Abram Secada managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Guido Luzaide in the 76 minute of the game. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Orlando Tafalla hit a great ball. Colombia's Abram Secada quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Guido Luzaide, made in the 80th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Secada in the 82nd minute of play forced Vélez Juniors's goalkeeper Elpidio Vitin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute Cristian Naike shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Nicolas Roland in the 89th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Colombia's Pascual Carballar. The supporters of Vélez Juniors booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Mastache didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Naike fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. Vélez Juniors were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Colombia for a fine match.
