Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Cristian Naike started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Nicolas Roland who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Pedro Manzanares when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Nicolas Roland managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vélez Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolas Roland was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedro Manzanares made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Guido Luzaide sent off a good shot on target. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Vélez Juniors's Guido Luzaide. But to his dismay, Guido Luzaide quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Joshua Garrido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 18 minutes of play, Colombia's Axel Montenegro made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elpidio Vitin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Naike in the 23rd minute of play. Vélez Juniors's Cristian Naike managed to work through Colombia's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Cristian Naike dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 28th minute, Cristian Naike made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Pedro Manzanares made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Nicolas Roland sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Vélez Juniors's Severo Maule slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pedro Manzanares. That made the score 3-1 after 37 minutes of play. Alberto Joey hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Mastache in the 41st minute of play forced Vélez Juniors's goalkeeper Elpidio Vitin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute of the match Colombia got a corner. Vélez Juniors's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Axel Montenegro ran over to the corner to take the kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abram Sarmiento made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Abram Sarmiento kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Elpidio Vitin. That made the score 3-2 in the 51 minute of play. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guido Luzaide, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute of the game Benigno Gurutz made a throw-in which Guido Luzaide played forward. 60 minutes into the match, Vélez Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Santino Seco came free, but Elpidio Vitin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Naike scored 4-2 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vélez Juniors's Godofredo Ado was substituted for Alberto Joey. Axel Montenegros short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Elpidio Vitin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benicio Rivas in the 69th minute of play. After some careless play in the Vélez Juniors defense, Abram Sarmiento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elpidio Vitin. The Vélez Juniors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elpidio Vitin should have stopped the shot. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. Elpidio Vitin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Abram Secada showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-4 in the 75 minute of play. Abram Secada's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elpidio Vitin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ignacio Mastache got free with Elpidio Vitin in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vélez Juniors's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kevin Mastache was slow to take the kick. During this time Colombia's players had a chance to rest. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benigno Gurutz during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Vélez Juniors's Benigno Gurutz got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 95th minute, Orlando Tafalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute, Antonio Indiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guido Luzaide in the 97th minute of the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
